On December 27, 2025, the Open Bishkek City Championship in Traditional Archery took place in the capital.

A total of 39 athletes participated, including 24 women and 15 men. Competitors competed in two disciplines: “Kyrgyz Buta” — shooting from a distance of 50 meters, and “Kyrgyz Zhamga” — shooting from a distance of 30 meters.

Men’s “Kyrgyz Buta” (50 meters):
1st place – Almaz Junusov
2nd place – Yntymak Muradil uulu
3rd place – Nursultan Emilbek uulu

Women’s “Kyrgyz Buta”:
1st place – Cholponay Umurkулova
2nd place – Mirgül Rakhmanalieva
3rd place – Nazgul Shapieva

Men’s “Kyrgyz Zhamga” (30 meters):
1st place – Nursultan Emilbek uulu
2nd place – Yntymak Muradil uulu
3rd place – Rustam Nogoybaev

Women’s “Kyrgyz Zhamga”:
1st place – Erika Kulzhabaeva
2nd place – Erkayym Rakhmanalieva
3rd place – Nurzat Bakburkanova

Winners and prizewinners were awarded medals and certificates.

The championship has been held annually since 2021, and this year marked its fourth edition.

The event was organized by the Federation of Traditional and Equestrian Archery in cooperation with the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Tourism, and Youth Affairs of the Bishkek City Hall.
