On December 28, 2025, the Mayor’s New Year Tree event for the little residents of Bishkek was held at “Zhastyk Arena.” Honorary guests included Bishkek Mayor Aybek Junushaliev, the Commissioner for Children’s Rights of the Kyrgyz Republic Asel Chynbaeva, and Deputy Speaker of the Bishkek City Council Jyldyzbek Abdraimov.

The Mayor congratulated the children on the upcoming New Year, wishing them good health, academic and creative success, a happy childhood, and the fulfillment of their dearest dreams.

“You are our future. Always be fair, determined, and hardworking. Don’t be afraid to dream and believe in your abilities. Respect your parents, teachers, and elders,” the Mayor said.

About 3,000 children attended the celebration, including top students, active school participants, winners of city and national competitions, and children from large or socially vulnerable families.

A bright festive program was prepared for the young guests. They enjoyed a New Year theatrical performance titled “The 7 Wonders of Kyrgyzstan,” which introduced children to the country’s cultural heritage, traditions, and spiritual values in a magical and engaging way.

The event gave the children unforgettable emotions, a sense of New Year magic and joy, and became an important part of the capital’s series of holiday celebrations leading up to the New Year.
