On December 19, the S. Dzumanazarov Specialized Youth Sports School (SDYUSHOR) athletics championship was held at the KGAFKiS indoor arena.

Athletes from across the country participated, including participants from Jeti-Ögüz District, Issyk-Kul Region, the city of Karakol, Nookat District (Osh Region), Talas Region (city of Manas), Chuy Region (cities of Kant, Tokmok, Kara-Balta), and the city of Bishkek. A total of 268 athletes competed in age categories from 11 to 17 years.

The opening ceremony was attended by Zhoomart Shamkanov, Director of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth Affairs of the Bishkek City Hall, and Ermek Tukeev, Rector of KGAFKiS.

They emphasized the importance of such competitions for the development of sports in the city, as well as their significant role in the physical education and athletic development of the younger generation. The officials highlighted the state’s attention to sports development and wished the participants further success in international competitions.

At the end of the championship, winners and prize-winners were awarded diplomas, medals, and valuable prizes.
