The practical implementation of the dual education program for school students has begun in Bishkek, following the instructions of Mayor Aybek Junushaliev after his meeting with directors of vocational lyceums.
As part of the Open Day at Lyceum No. 100, a new project was launched aimed at early professional training for school students.
School No. 68 was among the first to join the project. Its students familiarized themselves with the training areas offered by the lyceum: welding, assembly, and auto repair. The training of the first students will begin shortly. The educational process will follow a practice-oriented approach: students will combine school lessons with hands-on training in the lyceum workshops, where they can apply the knowledge they have gained.
The project is being implemented as part of the transition to a 12-year education system. In this new format, students will be able to acquire not only general education subjects but also professional competencies, gaining initial skills for their future careers during the learning process.
This model will allow students to make informed career choices in advance, acquire practical skills, and take confident steps toward professional growth. The initiative is aimed at strengthening the link between general and vocational education, as well as increasing young people’s interest in technical specialties.
Work in this direction will continue. The Bishkek City Hall will provide all necessary conditions for high school students to study in their chosen fields.
