A ceremonial event dedicated to the Information and Press Day of the Kyrgyz Republic was held in Bishkek.

The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Bishkek, Aybek Junushaliev, city leadership, as well as representatives of various media outlets, including journalists, editors, and press service staff.

The Mayor expressed gratitude to media workers for their professionalism, objectivity, and active civic stance.

“Today, mass media play a key role in city life. You contribute significantly to fostering open dialogue with society. Over the past year, more than 2,000 citizens’ inquiries and over 1,500 requests from journalists were submitted to the city administration through media publications and appeals. This confirms that the media have become a real tool for interaction, helping to identify pressing issues and find solutions,” emphasized Aybek Junushaliev.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Mayor and city leadership presented journalists with commemorative gifts, noting the importance of their contribution to the city’s development and to raising public awareness.

The Bishkek City Hall once again congratulates all media representatives on their professional holiday — Information and Press Day of the Kyrgyz Republic — and wishes them creative success, inspiration, and further achievements for the benefit of society.
