A meeting was held at the Bishkek City Hall between Mayor Aibek Junushaliev and Pavel Spirin, Director of the Research and Design Institute of Urban Planning (RDIUP), along with Irina Grishechkina, project manager of Bishkek’s master plan at RDIUP.

Also in attendance were Deputy Mayor Azamat Kadyrov, Chief of Staff Ilyas Kolopov, Chief Architect Meder Kydyrmaev, and others.

P. Spirin presented the results of the comprehensive urban development analysis and provided a detailed report. According to him, over 200 information requests were sent to various government agencies.

The analysis covered the economy, employment of Bishkek residents, land and property relations, environmental features, issues in the street and road network, public transport, the current state of social infrastructure, and more.

The goals for 2050 include strengthening Bishkek’s position as the capital, establishing it as a financial and logistics hub of Central Asia, diversifying the economy, ensuring the city’s economic security, creating a comfortable urban environment, developing a balanced transport system, and enhancing social well-being.

During the meeting, the mayor asked clarifying questions regarding the presented project. At the conclusion, the mayor expressed gratitude to the master plan developers and emphasized the need for the project’s prompt completion.
