At the “Orto-Alysh” water intake facility, a meeting was held between First Deputy Mayor Mirlanbek Baygonchokov, Deputy Mayor Nurgazy Kurmanbekov, and representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The bank representatives noted the positive results of previously implemented projects and expressed their readiness to continue cooperation in new areas.
Mirlanbek Baygonchokov, in turn, emphasized that the city is open to considering projects aimed at improving urban infrastructure. Special priority remains the modernization of the water supply system and the reconstruction of engineering networks in new residential areas incorporated into Bishkek under the administrative-territorial reform.
The meeting also highlighted the pressing need for the construction of wastewater treatment facilities in the eastern and western parts of the capital.
It was additionally noted that, under a project with the Asian Development Bank, Bishkek has already acquired 120 modern electric buses.
The capital is open to cooperation and ready to work with international partners to develop transport, utilities, and environmental infrastructure.
