For the transport section of the General Plan, a comprehensive study of Bishkek’s transport system was conducted.
Traffic and passenger flows were measured at 37 key intersections during peak hours, covering city entrances, central areas, and railway crossings.
Open data on road congestion and a sociological survey of residents’ transport behavior were also monitored.

Discussions analyzed transport problems, statistical data, and previous projects. Visual inspections of main corridors were conducted for street network and public transport planning, including the potential South Bypass route.
Attention was given to sustainable transport, including discussions with the urban initiative Peshcom on bicycle infrastructure for work, recreation, and tourism routes.
