Today at 08:00 on September 18, 2025, the Mayor of Bishkek, Aybek Junushaliev, conducted an inspection tour of facilities in the Lenin District.
The progress of the reconstruction of L. Tolstoy Street from Bakaev Street to Nekrasov Street was reviewed. Road reconstruction is underway, and on Bakaev Street, works are being carried out to relocate a 300 mm gas pipeline from L. Tolstoy Street and to install a stormwater drainage system.
The progress of repair works on Levanevsky Street was also inspected. As part of the first phase, the old asphalt pavement is being removed, and irrigation trays are being delivered for the installation of a new drainage system. Previously, fences that had been erected beyond the red line were dismantled along sections adjacent to more than 10 private properties.
The State Mortgage Company is providing a one-story building for Secondary School No. 40 to accommodate additional classrooms.
Aybek Junushaliev instructed to promptly develop classroom layouts and to consider the organization of education for children living in the State Mortgage Company buildings and nearby houses.
Road repair works are underway on Berdibayev Street, including the construction of sidewalks and the roadway.
Following the inspection, instructions were given to strengthen control over the quality of materials used in road repairs and the installation of engineering systems.
The Urban Traffic Safety Department of Bishkek was tasked with regulating traffic in areas where road repairs are taking place and severe congestion is observed.
The Mayor also oversaw the installation of a monument in honor of the 230th anniversary of Nuzup Esenbay uulu, being erected at the intersection of Alykulov and Zhayyl Baatyr Streets, as well as the completion of the square and the Zh.A. Alykulov Sports and Fitness Complex on Murmanskaya and Abakanskaya Streets, covering a total area of 2.7 hectares.
