Today, on September 6, a new cattle market "Altyn-Kazyk" was opened in Pervomaisky district of the capital. It is located at the intersection of Yubileynaya Street and the Northern Bypass Road and meets all the requirements of veterinary protection zones.


The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic — Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobayev, First Deputy Mayor of Bishkek Mirlanbek Baigonchokov, First Deputy Head of Pervomaisky district Rayim Zholdoshov and head of the new market Asylbek Chyngyshbayev. The honored guests got acquainted with the market infrastructure, conditions for sellers and buyers, visited a veterinary laboratory and a meat processing plant.

The market area is 4 hectares. It is designed for the maintenance of up to 1,500 heads of large and 6,000 heads of small cattle. In addition, it is planned to create 300 jobs. Utility sheds, a modern dining room with an area of 360 square meters have been erected on the territory, and a comfortable and sanitary slaughterhouse has been built.

To date, the Prigorodny market has already completely moved to the new territory. The relocation of Zhantai, Old Push, Rasul Ata and other markets continues. Sellers note the convenience of accommodation and modern conditions created at Altyn Kazyk.

The opening of the new market will make it possible to relieve the central streets of the city from spontaneous trade, ensure safety, sanitary and veterinary standards, and create new jobs for residents of the capital.
