Last year, the capital's mayor's office, together with the Swiss company BPC, implemented an electronic ticketing project for buses and trolleybuses "Tulpar" within the framework of a public-private partnership.
On March 1, 2020, the Tulpar system was fully operational. Despite the initial difficulties associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, Tulpar cards were loved by the townspeople. During this time, the total number of trips using the card amounted to about 3.5 million trips. The townspeople purchased about 140 thousand blue standard cards, the preferential category of Bishkek residents received more than 42 thousand red cards for free, and almost 10 thousand schoolchildren received green cards.
The website www.tulpar-card.kg was launched, where you can get answers to all questions regarding non-cash payments, issuing a school card, and a call center, chats in telegram and whatsapp were launched for feedback from the townspeople, and pages are also actively maintained on social networks Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tiktok.
For the convenience of passengers, a mobile application has been developed, through which you can control your balance, purchase passes, pay through a virtual card, and in the future it will be possible to monitor traffic online. Also, the possibility of payment through NFC technology has been introduced. It is now possible to issue a virtual card and pay for travel with Android smartphones with NFC support. Work on the modernization of the project continues.
Dear citizens! Switch to cashless fare. The advantages are obvious: safety, transparency of costs, and most importantly, there is no contact with cash. We sincerely thank our passengers for their trust!
