As part of the excursion program organized by the Bishkek City Hall for delegates of the 4th People’s Kurultai, Depot No. 1 was officially reopened following reconstruction. The facility is located at 237 Moskovskaya Street, Bishkek.
Originally commissioned in 1951, the depot now functions as a modern complex for the storage, maintenance, and repair of buses and electric buses. The total area of the site is 3.5 hectares, with a building footprint of 3,659.6 m².
The depot can simultaneously service up to 130 vehicles, including 70 buses and 60 electric buses. The repair and maintenance facility is equipped with six repair pits, allowing for routine maintenance and servicing at TO-1 and TO-2 levels.
A modern charging infrastructure for electric buses has been installed, featuring 32 charging units, including 11 high-power 300 kW stations and 21 120 kW stations. The facility also includes a vehicle wash station and an administrative and utility building.
Depot operations are integrated into the automated transport management system of the Bishkek City Hall, enabling centralized control and efficient management of the city’s route network.
The reconstruction of the depot supports the development of eco-friendly public transport, reduces operating costs, and improves the quality of passenger services.
