In 2024, three new highways connecting Akhunbaev Street and Zhibek-Zholu Avenue will appear in Bishkek city. One of them is the project of connecting Kara-Darya and A.Suyumbaev streets through the railroad.
Today, April 8, 2024, the construction of the above-mentioned road began.
Note that the road will be built along the bank of the Alamudun River. Thus, continuing down Shukurova Street, where a bridge is currently under construction, it will be taken out to L. Tolstoy Street through the railroad and connected to A. Suyumbaeva Street via Mederov Street.
The road will be 1.4 kilometers long and 9 meters wide. An irrigation system and a pedestrian walkway are provided on both sides.
Thus, the new road will be put into operation in 2024 and will be an alternative to 7 April Street, Y. Abdrakhmanov Street and Ch. Aitmatov Avenue.
