In Bishkek city monitoring of traffic on the roads was conducted. One of the main violations is violation of the order of passage at intersections.

Thus, in order to reduce congestion and exclude violations of the order of passage on the territory of the capital, as well as to reduce the accident rate at intersections, it was decided to apply "waffle" markings in the pilot mode in the following areas:

- Manas Ave.-Chui Ave;

- Manas Ave. - Kievskaya St;

- Manas Ave.-Toktogul Ave;

- Manas Ave.-Moskovskaya Street;

- Manas Ave.-Bokonbaeva St;

- Chui ave.-Togolok Moldo st;

- Isanov Street-Toktogula Street.

Currently, this road sign is applied at the intersection of Toktogula and N. Isanov Streets.

This marking will serve as an additional measure to discipline drivers who "fly out" at the intersection.

Previously, "Safe City" cameras were unable to identify the traffic situation, including the facts of obstructing traffic at the intersection.

Very often violators avoided punishment. Now, if the car is in the zone of action of this marking more than a certain time, it is automatically recorded as a violation.

On the "waffle" marking cars should not block the passage of other road users for longer than 5 seconds.

A driver who sees the grid on the road should calculate the speed of the flow and his movement, in order not to linger on it and not to create obstacles to others.

If, for various reasons, the car was delayed at the intersection for longer than 5 seconds, and the camera detected this, the owner of the car will receive a fine.

It should be noted that the territory of the "waffle" markings is not the area where it is not allowed to stop at all.

There are a number of exceptions when you can legally stop on the "waffle" markings. For example, to allow a pedestrian to pass when turning at an intersection or when turning left to allow oncoming traffic to pass.

These measures are designed to improve the city's road transportation infrastructure and reduce traffic congestion.
