Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev approved the consolidated budget of Bishkek for 2024 on March 29, 2024.
The consolidated budget of the city in terms of revenue and expenditure amounts to 32,590.5 million soms: of these, the budget of the annexed aiyl aimaks, according to the administrative and territorial reform, amounts to 868.1 million soms and transfers from the republican budget - 6,973.0 million soms, which will be used to purchase buses and cover the costs of the remuneration fund of educational institutions of Bishkek and the annexed aiyl aimaks.
It should be noted that on the basis of the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic dated December 29, 2023 No. 370, as well as according to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic dated February 7, 2024 No. 52, during the administrative and territorial reform, the authority to approve budgets before the end of the pilot period was delegated to the mayors of cities.
Recall that on March 13-15, 2024, the Bishkek City Mayor's Office, chaired by Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliyev, held public discussions on the draft budget of Bishkek for 2024.
The hearings of the capital's budget for the current year were attended by deputy mayors of Bishkek, heads of district administrations, heads of subordinate and territorial divisions of the municipality, as well as deputies of the Bishkek City Kenesh and citizens of the annexed aiyl aimaks and villages.
