In Bishkek, from March 24, 2024, work begins on the construction of a bridge along Shukurov Street.

According to the Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure of the Bishkek City Mayor's Office, it will be built through the Eastern Bolshoi Chuy Canal, with access to Mederov Street, so that cars can cross the bridge to Akhunbayev Street. The width of the bridge is 15 meters, including a footpath.

It is worth noting that Shukurov Street is the main street of regional significance.

The upper side started from Akhunbayev Street, the lower part adjoined the canal and ended in a dead end. The project will connect Akhunbayev and Mederov streets.

In addition, three new highways will appear in the capital connecting Akhunbayev Street and Zhibek-Zholu Avenue, which will be an alternative to April 7, Y.Abdrakhmanov and Aitmatov Avenue.

We are talking about Fuchik, Bakayev and A.Suyumbayev streets, which will be brought to L.Tolstoy Street via the railway. Preparatory work on these sites has already begun.

For example, Kara-Darya Street and A.Suyumbayev Street will be connected to each other via a railway.

Recall that currently there are three large highways connecting directly the southern and northern sides of the city (April 7, Abdrakhmanov and Manas).
