During the meeting, the issue of increased cases of road accidents involving public transport was discussed.

Almaz Alymbekov, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure, noted that it is necessary to develop a mechanism for strict measures against bus drivers who violated traffic rules and got into accidents.

According to him, complaints from residents of the city about the work of public transport drivers are very often received.

"It is necessary to reconsider the responsibility of drivers who do not provide high-quality passenger service, do not comply with traffic rules, cause traffic accidents, damage state property. They need to be fired. This is the demand of the residents of the city," A.Alymbekov said.

It was also reported that drivers did not issue coupons to passengers, treated them rudely, did not take them to the final stop and left them on the road.

As a result of the meeting, it was instructed to solve these problems in public transport as soon as possible, as well as strengthen explanatory work among drivers and control discipline.

It should be noted that earlier the task was set to improve the quality of service in public transport, strengthen measures to ensure passenger safety.
