A press tour to the Bishkek Landfill and familiarization with the installation of fencing around the perimeter of the facility took place in the capital.

Repair and construction work has been completed by 90%, lighting poles are being installed in parallel and electricity is being conducted. There are plans to install CCTV cameras. So, the installation of the fence on the southern and eastern sides of the BSP is fully completed, work continues in the western part. After the fence is installed, work will begin on laying the roadway around the perimeter of the landfill.

To reduce the volume of soil, equipment for the disposal of sewing waste will be used. To do this, a hangar will be erected and equipped with the necessary equipment.

Together with JSC “Echitusfirma Rand and Tuulberg”, work is underway to reduce the smoke of fires that form in the active part of the landfill.

In addition, work is underway to reduce smoke from the dump with the use of new technologies, in particular, the method of technotyrosing. Based on the results of analyses and studies, work will begin on the neutralization and disposal of the filtrate lake.

According to the project, which is being implemented jointly with the EBRD “MSW System Management”, work is underway on the reclamation of the old landfill and the construction of a new cell for storing waste after sorting.
