The Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Tourism and Youth Work of the Bishkek City Mayor's Office together with the Bishkek Shotokan Karate-do Federation held the Bishkek Shotokan Karate-do championship in the sports hall of the Kaba uulu Kozhomkul Sports Palace
The goal is to popularize and develop Shotokan karate–do in Bishkek, promote a healthy lifestyle among young people, improve the skills of athletes and the level of training of the judiciary, identify the strongest athletes.
More than 400 young athletes from 15 teams in kata and kumite programs took to the tatami.
According to the results of the tournament, the places in the team standings were distributed as follows:
- 1st place – Bishkek Skif Chyi Club Bishkek (32 gold, 26 silver and 26 bronze medals);
- 2nd place – Bishkek Shotokan Karate-do Federation team (24 gold, 15 silver and 8 bronze medals);
- 3rd place – Keihatsu team Karate Club" Bishkek (11 gold, 11 silver and 15 bronze medals).
