On February 27 and 28, the Department of Education of the Bishkek City Mayor's Office held the III stage of the Republican (city) Olympiad of schoolchildren in general education subjects.

152 students of secondary schools participated in the city stage of the Olympiad.

The event was held on the basis of I.Razzakov KSTU and B.Yeltsin KRSU in 12 subjects: mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, Kyrgyz language and literature, English, history, geography, biology, Russian language and literature.

The jury consisted of representatives of the teaching staff of five universities, leading teachers of the capital's schools, as well as representatives of the Center for Evaluation in Education and Teaching Methods.

56 students became prize–winners of the city Olympiad, the largest number of prizes were awarded to AFSHMLK No. 61 – 6 prize-winners, gymnasium No. 13 - 3 prize-winners, schools № 6, 26, 28, 37, 38, 67, 69 – 2 prize winners each, as well as schools №4, 12, 20, 24, 26, 29, 33, 63, 65, 70, 71, 72 and 85 for one prize-winner.

The winners of the city Olympiad will take part in the IV stage of the Republican Olympiad of Schoolchildren.
