Today, in honor of the 34th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, Afghan veterans working in the Bishkek Trolleybus Department were congratulated.
The organization and holding of the commemorative event was attended by the heads of the enterprise, the chairman of the trade union committee and 5 Afghan veterans who still work in the department, contributing to the development of public transport in the capital.
At the festive meeting, those present honored the memory of all the fallen heroes with a minute of silence, words of gratitude were addressed to veterans and cash prizes were awarded.
The Afghans themselves recalled and shared stories about the period of the Soviet troops' stay in Afghanistan, about loyalty to military duty and oath, courage and valor, combat brotherhood and friendship, exploits and fates of internationalist soldiers. The solemn event ended with a friendly tea party.
