As you know, since January 1, 2022, a new version of the Tax Code of the Kyrgyz Republic has been introduced, according to which, starting from January 1, 2023, property tax is introduced by the decision of local councils.

It should be noted that this type of tax has been in effect since the early 2000s and that in this case, a new type of tax is not introduced, but a property tax is put into effect within the framework of the current tax legislation.

Thus, on January 31, 2023, during the XIV session of the Bishkek City Kenesh, a resolution "On the introduction of property tax on the territory of the city of Bishkek" was considered and adopted.
