Due to severe cold weather, electricity consumption in the city of Bishkek has significantly increased, which leads to excessive load on the power grid equipment.

In order to avoid major accidents, power equipment failure and taking into account the risks of road accidents at night without street lighting, a phase-by-phase shutdown of street lighting is introduced during the hours of maximum loads.

Lighting will also be turned off on boulevards, parks, squares and bike paths, as well as the illumination of billboards at night until the situation in the power system stabilizes.
