The show is interesting primarily because these photos have not been published before, and are not known to a wide range of Kyrgyzstanis.
The presented exhibits reveal in a new way the images of Bishkek as the capital of Kyrgyzstan, the identity of its inhabitants, as well as pressing urban problems. Each work tells its own story, evokes its own associations. Photos are not only a reflection of reality, but also its constructor.
The purpose of the show is to draw public attention to such urgent problems as air pollution in the capital, access of residents of new residential areas around Bishkek to energy resources, undeveloped infrastructure in new buildings, the process of assimilation and internal migration.
The author's photo exhibition "Tutun" will last until February 2, 2023. All citizens and guests of the capital are invited to attend the cultural event.
The event is supported by the project “Raising awareness of migrants about air pollution and developing measures in accordance with the “Healthy City” approach in Bishkek” The Development Fund of the International Organization for Migration, which was implemented by Unison Group.
