Pupils of the Children's Creativity Center of Pervomaisky district became prize-winners at the Asian Chess Championship among schoolchildren.

The championship was held in Sri Lanka among boys and girls from 7 to 17 years old. Athletes from 13 countries competed: Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

Competitions were held in 3 types: classical chess, rapid and blitz.

Aaron Pak won three silver medals in the team competition.

Nurai Sovetbekova won the silver medal in the team competition and in the rapid chess format until the age of 17.
