The traditional ceremony of lighting the main Christmas tree of the country took place on the central square "Ala-Too".

Together with the citizens, the main 25-meter New Year tree of the country was lit by the Mayor of Bishkek Emilbek Abdikadyrov, Deputy chairman of the Bishkek City Kenesh Zhyldyzbek Abdraimov.

The folklore ensemble «Kyrgyz Rukhu», the ensemble of the Russian song «Souvenir», the ensemble of song and dance «Semetey», as well as the stars of the national stage created a New Year mood for the citizens and guests of the capital.

It should be noted that the municipal enterprises «Tazalyk», «Bishkeksvet» were engaged in the installation and decoration of the New Year tree.

1400 coniferous branches were attached to the frame, 7 thousand toys were placed on them. 7 thousand toys on the main Christmas tree of the country act as a symbol of the 7 million population of Kyrgyzstan.

Glass-shaped metal structures are decorated with 8 km of LED garlands, 2 km of lamp garlands, 2.3 km of yellow duralight.

Small architectural forms were also installed on the central square: deer, golden eagle, leopard, horse, "2023", tree, spruce, hares and a gift.

Recall that this year the main Christmas tree of the capital is located on the site of a large fountain.
