Today, the Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, together with his deputies, took part in a city ecological greening campaign.

Tree planting with the mayor took place on the grounds of Secondary School No. 102. In addition, greening work was carried out along Baytik Baatyr Street—on the section from Isa Akhunbaev Street to Kasymaly Zhantoshev Street, on the west side, where birches, thuja, maples, and oaks were planted.

In total, over 500 trees were planted in the city today.

After the planting, Mayor Aibek Junushaliev, together with participants, symbolically tied ribbons on the trees, emphasizing the importance of careful treatment of green spaces.

The mayor stressed that greening the capital is not a one-time event, but a systematic effort requiring constant attention. He instructed responsible services to ensure regular watering and care for the newly planted trees so that all saplings take root and are not neglected after planting.

“Planting a tree is the beginning of a great endeavor. The main thing is to preserve it, care for it, and protect it. Only in this way can we make Bishkek truly green and comfortable,” said Mayor Aibek Junushaliev.

This autumn, over 6,500 trees have already been planted in Bishkek. Greening work continues, and by the end of the year, the total number of plantings is expected to exceed 15,000. For reference, 7,824 trees were planted this spring.
