On October 18, 2025, a large-scale tree-planting campaign began in Bishkek, with participation from Mayor Aybek Junushaliev and his deputies, following the decisions of Eco Council-2025.

As part of the initiative, 10,000 trees will be planted across the city, with special attention given to school territories. The saplings range in height from 2 to 5 meters.

Mayor Junushaliev urged residents to take care of the city’s greenery:

"The city administration is committed to keeping the capital green and cozy. We ask residents to care for the young trees and help preserve them," he said.

For ease of monitoring, colored ribbons have been tied to the trees in each district to indicate administrative jurisdiction.
