Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev conducted an on-site inspection of several construction projects across the capital, issuing a series of directives aimed at improving quality and ensuring timely completion of works.

The first site visited was a newly completed park in the Tunguch residential area, where landscaping works have been finalized. The Mayor instructed city services to ensure that the facades of nearby buildings comply with Bishkek’s official design code.

The total area of the park is 0.63 hectares. It features children’s and sports playgrounds, benches, trash bins, chess tables, an automatic irrigation system, lighting, and parking spaces.

Next, the Mayor reviewed the construction progress of the new building for School No. 89 in the Uchkun residential area. The total area of the school is 5,607 square meters, designed to accommodate 570 students across 20 classrooms. The facility will include classrooms, workshops, a library with a reading hall, an auditorium, a gymnasium, a medical unit, a kitchen, and a cafeteria. Currently, earthworks are underway. The construction contractor is Etalon Vin Spets Stroy LLC, and completion is scheduled for the start of the 2026–2027 academic year.

It should be noted that, according to an inspection by the State Institute of Earthquake-Resistant Construction and Engineering Design, the former building of School No. 89 was deemed unsafe. The Mayor emphasized the importance of ensuring both the quality and timely execution of all construction works.

The next site visited was the bridge construction project on Auezov Street. Reinforcement works are being carried out according to the approved schedule. The total bridge width will be 24 meters, with a combined length of 70 meters for two bridge structures. The design includes four traffic lanes and sidewalks, each 3 meters wide, on both sides.

The final site of the inspection was the promenade construction along the technical canal of the municipal enterprise Bishkek TPP. Preparatory works are currently underway.

Following the inspection, Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev instructed city departments and contractors to strictly adhere to construction timelines and maintain high standards of quality throughout the implementation process.
